He and his partner knew they needed a name that generates a high level of curiosity in the market yet be simple to pronounce. In a competitive Indian market where brand names such as Syska, Havells, Phillips hold the major share, there was a call for a bold personality in terms of brand name and sound.
Sirovo was a constructed brand name chosen by the client. Built on a sound that carries sound of innovation and communication through imagery, Sirovo became their ultimate choice. The term “Siro” is another word for Sirius which is the brightest star in the constellation. The usage of “VO” was taken from the abbreviation Very Old, which is often used to denote anything historical. Overall meaning turned out to be “Old Star”. Sirovo does not fit in the trend of regular LED brand names in the Indian and Global cluttered market.
