Naming a fantasy sports app: BigWon

Problem.

In October 2021, we were approached by a Kerala-based company to name their fantasy sports app. 

Solution.

In a country where there are endless cultures, it is difficult to find a sound that would appeal to the masses. We wanted a name that would not have words like my, 11, play. A name that would be easy for anyone to pronounce. A name that would go with any sports and not just cricket. This is a sound that has multiple meanings. Won and One have the same homophone. BigOne refers to big winnings and BigWon refers to already getting it.  The company immediately liked the name and went ahead for trademarks.
